Can Serrat is located in a rustic farmhouse just 45 kilometres outside Barcelona, within the confines of Montserrat Natural Park.  We enjoy supporting artists as they develop their ideas in a communal atmosphere, while free from the usual demands of daily life. Can Serrat operates as an open residency; there is no formal application procedure for attending.  Booking depends on space availability.  Each year, we offer a number of stipends to selected artists for a one month residency at Can Serrat.  We are happy to accommodate those who wish to accompany you.

Visual artists and writers use the facilities available at Can Serrat as a base for both group and individual activities.
 		   Many people come to enjoy the local atmosphere, festivals and the natural beauty of Montserrat Natural Park, the Monastery and the Penedes wine growing region.
