In 2004, we began a Full Stipend programme for writers.

Can Serrat's annually provides two writers with a private room (all meals included) for a 30 day period. The residency is open to writers in all fields regardless of nationality or age. All chosen writers have the opportunity to do a reading at the centre. The writers-in-residence are responsible for all extra personal living expenses, travel costs, telephone charges and any other expenses during their stay. Travel expenses to and from Can Serrat are also the responsibility of the writers.

Calendar
Each recipient may choose a 30 day time slot for any period of the year, dating up to 12 months from the time of original notification (assuming space is available at that time).

Residency requirements
During their stay at Can Serrat, the selected writer is asked to give at least one informal lecture concerning their work, open to the public in general.

The results of the Full Stipends are announced the first weeks of March and September.

Candidates are asked to send: 

• C.V.

• a 7 page sample of your work (i.e. completed poems, prose, plays or scripts). 

• a cover letter including 2 possible months for  residency.                                                                     

• A short summary of the project/work planned for the residency period.
