Visual Artists Full Stipend

Selected artists 2005

Visual Artists Full Stipend recipients

In 2003, we began a
programme of Full Stipends for Visual Artists.

Can Serrat annually provides two selected artists with a private room and ample workspace in a shared studio with all meals included for a 30 day period. The chosen artists also have the opportunity to exhibit at the centre.
The residency is open to artists in all fields, regardless of nationality or age.
The artists-in-residence are responsible for all extra personal living expenses, travel costs, supplies, telephone charges and any other expenses related to the production costs during their stay. Travel and shipping expenses to and from Can Serrat are also the responsibility of the artists.

Calendar
Each recipient may choose a 30 day time slot for any period of the year, dating up to 12 months from the time of original notification (assuming space is available at that time).

Residency requirements
During their stay at Can Serrat, the selected artist is asked to give at least one informal lecture concerning their work, open to the public in general.
Each year’s artist-in-residence is asked to leave one piece of work made during their stay as a donation to Can Serrat's permanent collection.
